UPVC Spraying

What is UPVC Spraying and why is it important?

Unfortunately, UPVC doesn’t stay white as UV light fades it over time. Luckily, our comprehensive interior and exterior UPVC spraying services are designed to help you to not just change your UPVC’s exterior colour, but also provide an important protective barrier from UV light. As well as prolonging the life of the UPVC, spraying can also help to give your home a fresh new look.

Our professional team of UPVC sprayers are well-equipped to spray your home any colour with a matte, satin, or gloss finish to any colour on the RAL Colour Chart and British Standard colour chart. This means that you can be confident that your bespoke requirements will be fulfilled as closely as possible.

What preparation is necessary?

Worried that UPVC Spraying will require you to significantly prepare your house? There’s no need for you to worry as our customers are not required to prepare their house whatsoever as all the prep work is left to our hard-working and highly skilled team of UPVC Sprayers.

What is involved in UPVC Spraying?

  • 1. First, we begin by removing any existing silicone.
  • 2. Secondly, using soap and water, we then clean the window frame surfaces making sure that they are free from debris.
  • 3. Thirdly, we scotch the surface to allow the paint to seamlessly adhere.
  • 4. Fourthly, we mask off the areas surrounding the windows using masking paper and tape. This will make sure that there is no over-spray on the brickwork or glazing, as well as guaranteeing that a perfectly straight line is achieved.
  • 5. Next, we then apply a mist coat to make sure that anything which may affect the finish is removed from the surface. It is also important to note that the specialist paint that we use does not require the use of a primer.
  • 6. After the mist coat, we spray at least three more coats until the finish of the windows is flawless.
  • 7. Then, we remove the masking tape and reapply silicone around the frames in the chosen RAL colour.
  • 8. The final step is where we tidy up and leave you to admire your property’s transformation, meeting your expectations to the highest standard.

How long will the spray last?

As the paints that we use bond with the UPVC on a molecular level, you can expect the painted finish to last at least 10 years because the colour of the UPVC is changed robustly at the surface. To form a durable coat around the UPVC, subsequent paint layers bond with each previous paint layer, which means that the paints we use are less prone to flaking over time.
